HUMS 166 - Crisis Intervention


Introduces theories of crisis intervention and how to identify, assess, and intervene when responding to crisis situations. Covers crises related to harm to self, harm to others, acculturation, racism, relationship endings, death, military service, gun violence, sexual assault, child abuse, sexual health and sexuality, substance use, aging, and physical illness. Prerequisite(s): HUMS 164 or concurrent enrollment. (PCS 1.2, 2 credit hours - 2 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
