PHYS 141 - General Physics I

(IAI: P2 900L, PHY 911) (Spring Semester Only)

Examines the theory and practice of mechanics using calculus. Topics include kinematics, Newton’s laws, force and motion, work and energy, conservation of linear momentum, angular momentum, rotational dynamics, harmonic motion, rigid body equilibrium and oscillations. Prerequisite(s): Concurrent enrollment in MATH 172. (PCS 1.1, 5 credit hours - 4 hours lecture, 3 hours lab)
