Description
Examines the ethical issues of the healthcare field and of the advances in medical technology and treatments. Central topics, among others, involve healthcare rights, euthanasia and assisted suicide, genetic and reproductive technology (issues such as screening, surrogate motherhood, and cloning), confidentiality, patient rights, and rights of healthcare professionals. The course develops and applies a process of ethical decision-making to these various issues.
