Associate in Arts Degree
The Associate in Arts degree is designed to complete the lower-division (freshman and sophomore) portion of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. The Associate in Arts degree includes the transferable General Education Core Curriculum and the lower-division major field core courses recommended by the Illinois Articulation Initiative.
Lewis and Clark offers A.A. degree program majors in the following areas of study: Accounting, Architecture, Anthropology, Art, Audiology, Business, Computer Management Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Economics, Elementary Education, Special Education, Secondary Education, English, Exercise Science, Geography, Foreign Language, Community/Public Health, History, Human Services, Literature, Mathematics, Mass Communications, Marketing, Management, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Speech Pathology, and Speech Communication. If you plan on majoring in one of these at a four-year institution, you should work closely with your academic advisor to verify the program requirements and course transferability at the institution you plan on attending.
Online and Web-Blended Learning Option: Lewis and Clark offers an Associate in Arts degree option which enables the student to complete most of the required coursework by combining online and/or Web-blended courses.
