DENT 153 - Operative Procedures

(Fall Semester Only)

Emphasizes dental office infection control and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Also includes the importance of proper chair-side dental assisting techniques and procedures in operative and specialty areas and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Dental Assisting Program. (PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours - 2 hours lecture, 3 hours lab)
