INST 132 - AC: Fundamentals in Electricity Introduces the fundamental properties and applications of electricity including alternating current (AC) circuits, complex numbers, inductance, capacitance, resistor-inductor (RL) and resistor-capacitor (RC) circuits, RC time constants and transients, resonance, transformers, relays, and switches. Introduces Solid State Principles and filters as they relate to electrical and electronic power supplies. Prerequisite(s): C or better in INST 131 or concurrent enrollment. (PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours - 2 hours lecture, 2 hours lab)
