CGRD 110 - Videogame: Theory and Design


Provides an overview of video gaming and game development. Includes gaming history, videogame design, psychological, sociological, physiological, and economic aspects of videogames and gaming. Emphasizes the deconstruction and critique of popular console videogames and genres. Also examines gaming trends to answer the question “What’s next?” Prior videogame experience is recommended, but not required. Prerequisite(s): None.
(PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours - 2 hours lecture, 2 hours lab)
