FIRE 150 - Structural Firefighting Operations


Part of the industrial firefighting curriculum designed specifically for those firefighters involved in industrial emergency response. Focuses on pre-plan firefighting operations in various structural settings within an industry. Course will include instruction in the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, hand tools, salvage and overhaul operations, and donning and doffing of various levels of hazardous materials suits. This course is repeatable three times. The amount of credit awarded shall be 0.5 credit hours each time the student successfully completes the course. The total number of credits that will apply as elective credit shall be two credits. Prerequisite(s): Must be a member of an industrial fire brigade.
